I am very excited to share with you this new subset podcast named “Studying Economics” (simple, but to the point). This is your space to study economics, ask questions to better understand the science, and dive deep into the economic thought that had developed through the centuries until today
For the first episode I have Dennis Rice on the show, from the great Austrian Economics Newsletter Substack.
Although Rice is influenced by Austrian Economics (as the name would suggest), you will find that his views do not always parallel with the “mainstream” wing of Austrians, especially when it comes to the quantity theory of money.
We talked about his differences of opinion, how he formed his views, Prof. Antal Fekete whom he draws inspiration from, the current monetary system, money versus credit, and much more.
If you haven’t checked his Substack yet, go ahead, it is well worth your time. He writes clearly and builds his arguments logically bit by bit so you can gain an objective grasp of the monetary system—as well as its problems.
